Janggu Project 1. Rhythms

It is a long-term project carried out on a seasonal basis. In season 1, FeelAk undergoes the process of analyzing, dismantling, recombining and reconstructing the sound of the Yutdari Nongak(farmers’ ritual), Dodang gut(shaman ritual) and Namsadangpae(traditional theater performance), which represent the distinctive characteristic of music of Gyeonggi(central region of Korea) Province, where FeelAk’s music is rooted from. With new perspectives and fresh idea of an emerging traditional musician, FeelAk creates and implements the new percussive rhythms with Janggu suggesting the traditional music of the next generation
